Festive Month of July Planned in Tenerife

Tenerife is gearing up for a vibrant July filled with various traditional celebrations, including romerías, dances, and local festivals across the island. These events will take place in both northern and southern regions, emphasising community participation, music, traditional attire, and local cuisine.

One of the highlights is the Romería de San Benito Abad in La Laguna, scheduled for 12 July, showcasing carts, music, and traditional costumes. Leading up to this, the Baile de Magos de San Benito will take place on 10 July, attracting thousands to the historic town centre.

Other notable events include the Romería de Los Blanquitos in Granadilla de Abona and the Baile de Magos Infantil in La Laguna on 11 July. The month will also feature the Embarcación de la Virgen del Carmen in Puerto de la Cruz on 14 July, reinforcing the area’s maritime connection.

The celebrations will culminate in the last weekend of July, starting with the Fiesta Canaria in Ravelo on 24 July. On 25 July, multiple events will be held, including the Romería de Los Campitos in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the Baile de Magos de La Esperanza in El Rosario. By 26 July, three significant romerías will wrap up the month, emphasising Tenerife’s rich cultural heritage.

July promises to be a lively month, celebrating local traditions and bringing communities together across the island.
