Woman Injured in House Fire in Puerto de la Cruz
A 63-year-old woman sustained moderate burns on Thursday following a fire that broke out in a house in Puerto de la Cruz, located in the north of Tenerife. The incident occurred in a property on the Carretera General de Las Arenas, according to information provided by emergency services.
Emergency Response
The alarm was raised at 9:00 AM to the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government. The call reported a fire in a residence and indicated that there was a person in need of medical assistance.
Firefighting and Medical Assistance
Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium extinguished the blaze and ventilated the property. Personnel from the SUC assessed and treated the affected individual before transferring her by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias (HUC).
Police Involvement
National and Local Police officers secured the area and initiated investigations into the incident.
