Tenerife is set to enjoy a summer-like day on Sunday, with rising temperatures and mostly clear skies, according to the State Meteorological Agency.
Most areas of the island will experience stable weather, with some cloud cover expected in the lower northern regions during the early and late hours of the day. The southern coast may also see a few clouds at dawn, but the rest of the day will be dominated by sunshine.
Heat levels are anticipated to increase, particularly in the mid-altitude and higher regions. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly to moderate levels, with highs exceeding 30 degrees in the eastern, southern, and western midlands of Tenerife.
In the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, temperatures will range between a minimum of 21 degrees and a maximum of 30 degrees.
Winds will blow from the north at a moderate intensity, with potential for strong gusts overnight in the northeastern and southwestern extremes of the island. The central peaks will likely experience moderate winds from the southwest.
There will be light calima, which may be more noticeable in the afternoon. Residents are advised to avoid strenuous activities during peak hours, protect themselves from the sun, and stay hydrated, especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.
