The excitement is building for the Tenerife Cook Music Fest, set to kick off on 16 July at Santa Cruz’s port. The Puerto Rican artist Ivy Queen has been officially added to the line-up for the festival’s opening night, which will focus on urban music.
With this last-minute announcement, the festival has finalised a stellar line-up for the opening evening, featuring both legendary and contemporary figures in the genre.
Ivy Queen, known as a pioneer of reggaeton, will share the stage with:
- Don Omar: The “King of Kings” is returning to the Canary Islands for a historic performance.
- Myke Towers: One of today’s most streamed and successful artists.
- Farruko: Famous for his chart-topping anthems, he will bring his unique fusion of rhythms.
The festival will span three themed days. The first day will celebrate urban sounds, followed by a Latin-themed day on 17 July, featuring artists such as Chayanne and Gente de Zona. The festival will conclude on 18 July with a showcase of tropical roots, featuring Elvis Crespo and Luis Enrique.
Beyond the impressive line-up, the festival is expected to significantly boost the local economy and tourism, with organisers anticipating over 80,000 attendees across the three days.
Tickets for 17 and 18 July, along with information on access and services, can be found on the festival’s official website, cookmusicfest.es.
The event enjoys considerable institutional and business support, including collaboration from the Government of the Canary Islands and various local authorities.
