An 80-year-old woman has been injured following an attack by two potentially dangerous dogs in Guía de Isora, Tenerife. The incident occurred on Thursday morning near her home, close to the TF-38 road, which connects Chío to the Teide National Park.
The victim sustained multiple bites and was initially taken to the Hospital del Sur in El Mojón. Due to the severity of her injuries and her age, she was later transferred to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria for further treatment.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the attack, with initial reports suggesting the dogs may have escaped from a nearby property next to a local restaurant. Medical teams have stated the woman’s injuries are moderate, but precautions were taken due to her age. The emergency services, including local police, received the alert at 8:27 am and responded swiftly, deploying an ambulance from the Canary Urgent Service.
