Summer Timetable for Tenerife Trams Begins
Tenerife’s tram service, operated by Metrotenerife, has switched to its summer timetable starting Monday. This seasonal adjustment is designed to align transport availability with user demand.
From Tuesday, Line 1 will run every six minutes during peak hours on weekdays, while Line 2 will operate every twelve minutes. The summer schedule will be in effect from Monday to Friday, with regular frequencies and uninterrupted service overnight on weekends and public holidays.
The first phase of the summer timetable runs from June 29 to July 5. During this period, Line 1 will operate every six minutes from 07:00 to 15:00, before the frequency changes to intervals of seven to fifteen minutes until midnight. Line 2 will follow the same schedule, initially running every twelve minutes and then every fifteen minutes.
From July 6 to August 30, the service will adapt to demand, with Line 1 operating every seven minutes and Line 2 every fourteen minutes on weekdays. The tram service will revert to its winter timetable progressively starting the first week of September.
