The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has Forecast a cloudy Sunday in Tenerife with occasional rain.
In the island’s northern areas, particularly at elevations below 1,500 metres, there may be light showers in the early hours, especially in the northeast. However, clear skies are expected to develop in the afternoon, with cloud cover dropping below 900 metres by evening. Elsewhere, conditions will remain mostly clear.
Temperatures will remain stable, with highs expected to rise slightly in southern and western midlands and higher regions. Coastal temperatures will be unchanged or slightly lower, ranging between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius.
Moderate trade winds will blow, with stronger gusts possible in the southeast and northwest during the afternoon. Breezes are likely on the southwest and in central peaks, accompanied by moderate southern winds.
Overall, the standout weather feature will be the strong winds, particularly from the northeast on the southeast and northwest slopes later in the day. In the northern mountainous regions, cloudy skies may bring light rain during the morning, while the rest of the areas will generally be mostly clear with some overnight clouds.
