Tenerife residents will experience warm weather this Sunday, with temperatures expected to reach a high of 28 degrees Celsius. This forecast comes from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which also predicts cloudy skies and the possibility of light rain.
In the Canary Islands as a whole, strong northeast winds are anticipated, particularly affecting the southeast and northwest slopes later in the day.
On Monday, conditions are set to change significantly, with Lanzarote, La Gomera, and Gran Canaria under a yellow warning for strong winds, and Gran Canaria also facing maximum temperature warnings.
Aemet’s weather forecast for Tenerife details that the north will see cloudy skies and possible light rain early on, especially in the northeast midlands. By afternoon, clearer conditions are expected, with clouds dropping below 900 metres by day’s end. Temperatures in the south and west midlands may rise slightly, while coastal areas will remain steady or drop slightly. Moderate trade winds could become strong with gusts in the southeast and northwest by the afternoon.
Forecast temperatures for Santa Cruz de Tenerife are between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius.
