Court Clarifies Migrant Claims on El Hierro
The court in El Hierro has rejected reports claiming that a 2009-born girl was expelled during a legal process involving migrants arriving on a boat.
Officials from the Canary Islands High Court explained that the individual who claimed to be a minor was taken to hospital for a bone test. The results indicated she was over 18 years old. The court stated that all those uncertain about their age undergo medical tests.
They confirmed that only two individuals from the recent boat incident were classified as minors, and both were directed to the hospital rather than placed in detention.
