Emergency Services Rescue Missing 74-Year-Old in Granadilla de Abona
Emergency teams, including the Granadilla de Abona Local Police and the Civil Protection Unit, launched a search operation on Saturday for a 74-year-old man who had gone missing near Acojeja Mountain.
The search began after the man’s wife reported him missing. She informed authorities that he had left home the previous evening to walk their dog and had not returned.
The initial search focused on Los Parques street, where the dog was found. From there, emergency services intensified their efforts in the surrounding area and successfully located the man in a ravine.
After rescuing him, they transported him safely to an ambulance, marking a positive outcome for the incident.
The Granadilla de Abona Council expressed gratitude for the prompt coordination and professionalism of all involved in the operation, which was crucial in locating and rescuing the man.
