Festival Launch
The International Veranos del Taoro Festival kicks off today, Thursday, 18th June, in the La Sortija Park of Puerto de la Cruz, marking the grand natural stage for the performing arts in the Canary Islands with the official opening of its fifth edition. This anniversary reinforces its outdoor theatre model, offering a top-tier programme that invigorates the cultural landscape of the archipelago.
Technical Tour and Support
Key figures in the cultural management of the islands conducted a technical tour of the festival’s main stages. Guided by the promoter and founder of Veranos del Taoro, Enrique Camacho, the tour received institutional backing from the President of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila; the General Director of Cultural Innovation and Creative Industries of the Canary Government, Cristóbal de la Rosa; the Mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Leopoldo Afonso; Culture Councillor Desiré Díaz; and the Managing Director of Gesprotur, Ignacio Solana. This collaboration aims to promote the brand of the Canary Islands internationally. Notably, the international diva Patti LuPone also joined the tour, alongside actress Yaneli Hernández and dancer and choreographer Emiliana Battista.
