Aemet Forecasts Light Winds and Maximum Temperatures of 28°C in Tenerife This Saturday

Weather Forecast for Tenerife

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that this Saturday in Tenerife will be characterised by cloudy intervals in the north during the morning, with clearer skies expected as the afternoon progresses.

Specifically, the prediction indicates that in the northern part of the island, below approximately 800 to 900 metres, there will be cloudy intervals, although predominantly clearer skies are expected in the afternoon. In other areas, the weather will generally be mostly clear, with some cloud cover in the morning.

Temperatures will remain fairly stable, although a slight increase in maximum temperatures may occur in the southern midlands. Thermometers will range from a minimum of 20 degrees to a maximum of 28 degrees.

Regarding wind, it will be light from the northeast, with moderate intervals on the eastern slope and the northwestern tip of the island. On the west, breezes will prevail. In the central peaks, winds will be generally light from the west.

General Forecast for the Canary Islands

Overall, the Archipelago will experience low clouds predominantly in the north of the islands during the early hours of Saturday. In other areas, mostly clear or sunny skies are expected.

According to Aemet, there will be winds from the northeast at force 2 or 3, which may increase to 4 or 5 in the southeast and northwest. Slight swell or waves are anticipated. On the west coast, winds will be variable at force 1 to 3, with breezes and choppy seas.

Island-Specific Weather Outlook

Lanzarote will see cloudy skies in the north, becoming clearer by afternoon. The rest of the island will have mostly clear skies with some high cloud cover in the morning. Temperatures will remain stable, with moderate winds from the north and northeast. In Arrecife, the minimum will be 19 degrees and the maximum 27 degrees.

Fuerteventura is expected to have cloudy intervals that will turn mostly clear during the morning. Temperatures will show little variation, with slight increases in maximum temperatures in inland areas. Winds will be moderate from the northeast. In Puerto del Rosario, temperatures will range from 19 to 26 degrees.

Gran Canaria will experience cloudy skies in the north, below 700 to 800 metres, transitioning to clearer conditions from midday. The rest will experience mostly clear skies, with some high clouds in the morning. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, except for slight increases in minimum temperatures in the southern midlands. Winds will be light to moderate from the northeast, occasionally strong on eastern and western slopes, mainly during early and late hours. In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, temperatures are expected to range from 20 degrees minimum to 25 degrees maximum.

La Gomera will have cloudy intervals in the north, below 900 to 1,000 metres, with clear skies dominating in the afternoon. The remaining areas will be mostly clear with morning clouds. Temperatures will not experience significant changes. In San Sebastián de La Gomera, temperatures will be 21 degrees minimum and 25 degrees maximum.

La Palma is expected to have cloudy intervals with stable temperatures. The wind will be light from the northeast, with moderate intervals in the southeast and northwest extremes. Breezes will occur on the west coast. In Santa Cruz de La Palma, temperatures will range from 20 to 25 degrees.

El Hierro will experience a day with cloudy intervals and no significant temperature changes. Winds will be light from the northeast, with moderate intervals in the eastern and northwest slopes, and breezes in the southwest. In Valverde, temperatures are expected to be 17 degrees minimum and 22 degrees maximum.
