
This Saturday, the group Mestura en Cuerda y Voz will celebrate its much-anticipated 10th Anniversary Concert at the Orfeón La Paz theatre. The musical event will commence at 20:00 and will also serve to launch “Mestura”, the ensemble’s new repertoire.
About the Group
The ensemble, comprised of around twenty members, combines string instruments, percussion, and wind instruments, accompanied by a choir of voices. This creates a distinctive sound that has solidified the group’s position over the past decade.
New Repertoire
“Mestura” features a selection of pieces from both Canarian and South American folk traditions, alongside traditional and well-known songs. The repertoire will showcase a variety of musical styles, from isas and boleros to sones and joropos, offering the audience a journey through various musical roots rich in identity and emotion.
A Special Celebration
The concert is framed as a unique celebration, allowing the audience to share in a decade of music, community, and passion for popular traditions.
