The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has awarded sixty awards Blue Flag in the edition of this 2023 in the Canary Islands. Of those environmental recognitions, 56 correspond to beaches and four to marinas.

Blue Flag is an annual award and an environmental quality certification system developed by the FEE (Federation of Environmental Education). In Spain, he coordinates this initiative ADEAC (Association for Environmental and Consumer Education).
