Santa Cruz de Tenerife Launches 2026 Cultural Grants

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Council has opened applications for its cultural grants for 2026. The application window runs from 6 to 31 July. Announced in the Official Provincial Bulletin, these grants are managed by the Autonomous Cultural Organisation (OAC) and aim to enhance the municipality’s cultural programming while supporting local entities, associations, and cultural promoters.

Two Main Funding Streams

There are two main funding categories. The first focuses on Large-Scale Events, intended for projects that can attract audiences and make a significant impact in the city. The second category promotes Ongoing Cultural Activity, aimed at supporting continuous programming by local cultural agents, organisations, and collectives.

Funding Details

The Large-Scale Events category has an initial budget of €100,000, which could increase to a maximum of €304,000 if funds allow. Each project may receive up to €50,000, provided the grant does not exceed the total cost of the event.

In the Ongoing Cultural Activity category, €84,000 is available, divided into two segments. The first allocates €63,000 for events, festivals, exhibitions, and programmes led by local agents, while the second reserves €21,000 for permanent centres with publicly accessible cultural programming.

Grant Limits

In this second category, funding can reach a maximum of €12,000 per project, with permanent centres capped at €8,000, limited to 75% of the project costs. Total public funding cannot exceed the cost of the activity.

Application Deadline

Interested entities, associations, and promoters should submit their applications between 6 and 31 July. Through these grants, the Council aims to further promote cultural activities in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and support the local creative community in developing new projects for 2026.
