Cabildo de Tenerife and Aena Finalise Train and Tram Plans
The Cabildo de Tenerife is set to sign an agreement with Aena to establish the route for the southern train line through Tenerife South Airport and plan the tram’s arrival at Tenerife North. A technical meeting aimed at finalising the deal took place today.
Tenerife’s President, Rosa Dávila, announced during a press conference that the route for the southern train has been defined as part of Aena’s expansion and renovation project. Notably, the train will not be underground along this stretch.
Additionally, Dávila revealed that the first follow-up meeting for the railway project protocol will occur next Friday at the Government Presidency. Attendees will include the General Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, as well as representatives from the Roads and Mobility departments.
