The Tenerife Island Government has approved a partnership with El Rosario to establish the San Isidro-El Chorrillo Industrial Conservation Entity, popularly known as La Campana. This initiative, which aims to enhance the main industrial area of the metropolitan zone, follows investments totalling €15 million by the island’s administration in recent years. The agreement will remain in effect until 31 December 2027.
Additionally, Luis Gutiérrez Valido has been appointed as the new technical director for the Sustainable Mobility Programme at Teide National Park. This role is vital for progressing the island’s strategic sustainability and environmental protection projects.
In other decisions, the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energies (ITER) has requested the renewal of its specific cooperation agreement with the Education Department for the 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on genomic sciences, personalised medicine, and biotechnology.
The Natural Resources Department has also approved a budget of €427,290 for an agroecological livestock system in Teno Rural Park under the Renaturmac project, running from 2026 to 2028.
Furthermore, plans have been finalised for the rehabilitation of the TF-82 road between El Tanque and Santiago del Teide, set to cost €2.9 million and take seven months to complete. This route is frequented by around 11,000 vehicles daily.
Lastly, €4 million has been allocated to the renewed NOE Project, aimed at supporting individuals seeking their first job, alongside €100,000 distributed among 31 municipalities for gender equality projects.
