Puerto de la Cruz to Introduce Tourist Bus: 60-Minute Tour of Seven Iconic Landmarks

Overview of the Service

Puerto de la Cruz will introduce a new tourist bus service operated by City Sightseeing starting Monday, 15 June. This double-decker, panoramic vehicle will visit seven iconic locations throughout the municipality. According to the local council, the aim is to “bring the heritage, culture, and landscape closer to both visitors and residents.”

Route Details

The bus route will last approximately 60 minutes, connecting popular tourist spots such as:
– Lago Martiánez
– Jardín Botánico
– Loro Parque
– Playa Jardín
– Other notable sites in the city

The bus will feature an upper deck situated more than four metres above ground and offer an audio guide available in eight languages.

Free Rides for Residents

In celebration of the launch, the company will provide free rides for Tenerife residents from 15 to 30 June. Buses will depart daily at 15:00 and 16:00 until capacity is reached. Tickets can be collected at stop number 1, located on Avenida Betancourt y Molina next to Lago Martiánez.

Official Presentation

The official presentation took place this Thursday at the Costa Martiánez Tourist Complex, where details of the service were disclosed ahead of its commencement. The event attracted nearly a hundred professionals from the archipelago’s tourism sector. Attendees included hotel representatives, tour operators, travel agents, members of the Puerto de la Cruz Tourist Initiatives Centre, and students from the Tourism Guidance, Information, and Assistance programme at IES Puerto de la Cruz.
