La Laguna to Upgrade Los Majuelos Industrial Estate

The La Laguna Council will commence works this June to refurbish, improve, and resurface the Los Majuelos industrial estate, one of the municipality’s key business zones. This initiative, jointly funded with the Cabildo of Tenerife, will involve an investment of approximately €1.6 million.
Key Improvements Planned
The project includes the renewal of the surfaces on the main roads within the estate using recycled materials. Additionally, efforts will be made to enhance accessibility, which will involve the reconstruction and widening of pavements, as well as the removal of architectural barriers, according to a statement from the council.
Among the significant improvements is the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Avenida del Paso and Avenida Gandhi. This aims to optimise traffic flow and enhance road safety at one of the area’s busiest vehicle junctions.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Mobility
The intervention will also feature the upgrade of public lighting across several streets in the estate through the installation of more efficient and sustainable LED lighting. This upgrade is expected to reduce energy consumption and light pollution.
As part of the commitment to sustainable mobility, the project includes plans for new electric vehicle charging points, adapting the estate’s infrastructure to meet the current needs of businesses and users.
