Woman Hospitalised After Fall in Teide National Park

A 63-year-old woman was transported to hospital on Monday after suffering a fall while visiting the Roques de García area within the Teide National Park in Tenerife. The incident occurred at around 15:32, when the Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert indicating that someone required medical assistance following a fall.
Emergency Response
The 112 service activated emergency resources, dispatching a basic life support ambulance from the Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) along with personnel from the Spanish Red Cross.
Injuries Sustained
According to the assessment conducted by medical staff, the woman sustained multiple moderate injuries at the time of initial assistance. After being treated on site, she was moved to the Red Cross base located in Teide National Park for further care and medication.
Subsequently, the woman was evacuated in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to the Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital to continue her assessment and treatment.
