A 24-year-old driver is in serious condition after crashing into a wall in the Tejina tunnel on the TF-82 road in Guía de Isora, Tenerife, early on Sunday at around 00:40.
Emergency services, including the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), Tenerife Fire Consortium, and the Civil Guard, quickly arrived at the scene. Firefighters freed the driver from the vehicle and secured the area while medical staff provided treatment and stabilised him before taking him to Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria with severe injuries.
The Civil Guard managed traffic and began an investigation, while road service staff marked the accident site and cleared the road.
