The Tenerife Island Government has approved an agreement with the El Rosario Council to establish the Urban Conservation Entity for the San Isidro-El Chorrillo Industrial Estate, also known as La Campana. This move aims to provide a stable management framework for the region, which is the primary industrial hub in the metropolitan area of Tenerife, the council announced.
According to official figures, investments totalling €15 million have been made in this area. The agreement is set to remain in effect until December 31, 2027. The Tenerife Council will lead the technical aspects of the initiative, which includes defining the area, identifying property owners, estimating maintenance costs, proposing fee distributions, and drafting the entity’s statutes.
Meanwhile, El Rosario Council will handle the final approval of these statutes, notifications, and the establishment of the new urban entity. Additionally, the Industry Department has increased its budget by 23.16% this year, bringing it to €10,250,691.
