Latin Grammy winner presents themes from her latest album focused on grief and hope
The Leal Theatre in La Laguna will host a concert by Silvana Estrada this coming Sunday, 21st June, at 20:00. The artist will perform live songs from her latest album, Vendrán suaves lluvias.
Released in October 2025, this album marks a significant milestone in Estrada’s career. It is a self-produced project and her most intimate and mature work to date, exploring themes of grief, healing, and hope. According to the artist, the title is inspired by the poem ‘There will come soft rains’ by American poet Sara Teasdale (1884 – 1933), evoking “that gentle rain that comes after despair.”
Known for her distinctive voice and emotional delivery, the Veracruz-born singer has been dubbed the ‘millennial Chavela’ by critics. Her music combines folk, roots music, and jazz, resulting in a unique style that has captivated international audiences.
Nominated three times for a Latin Grammy, Estrada won the award for Best New Artist in 2022. Her debut album, Marchita, showcased her as one of the most significant figures in contemporary Spanish music.
In recent years, she has collaborated with prominent artists both on stage and in the studio, including Natalia Lafourcade, AURORA, Mon Laferte, Jorge Drexler, Leiva, Camilo, Carlos Vives, Guitarricadelafuente, El Kanka, Love of Lesbian, and Vetusta Morla, among others.
