The Most Prestigious Obstacle Race in the Canary Islands Gathers 1,000 Participants on 5th July
The countdown to Conquista La Victoria Hero Edition has begun. This renowned obstacle race in the Canary Islands will return on 5th July, transformed into one of the major sporting events of the summer, having sold out its 1,000 spots within just a few days.
Organised by the La Victoria de Acentejo Town Council, through its Sports Department, the event will bring together a thousand runners ready to tackle a course designed to test their physical endurance, resilience, and mental strength.
Hero Edition Concept
The 2026 edition is themed as the Hero Edition, a concept inspired by the strength, endurance, and unyielding spirit of those who never back down from challenges. This philosophy resonates with the essence of OCR (Obstacle Course Race), where each participant must conquer the course by overcoming natural and artificial obstacles amidst a demanding and adrenaline-fuelled environment.
Course Details
Runners can choose between two modalities, covering distances of 5 and 10 kilometres, during which they will face over 40 obstacles. Water, mud, ropes, walls, and skill challenges will once again be at the forefront of this experience, combining sport, adventure, and personal achievement.
Established Prestige
Year after year, Conquista La Victoria has solidified its reputation within the national OCR scene, thanks to the quality of its courses, high organisational standards, and the ability to provide a unique experience for both experienced athletes and amateurs eager to take on new challenges.
The rapid sell-out of entries confirms the growing interest in the event and reinforces its status as one of the most highly anticipated sporting competitions on the Canarian calendar.
Final Thoughts
On 5th July, La Victoria de Acentejo will once again become the regional epicentre of obstacle racing, hosting a thousand participants who will share a singular goal: to conquer every wall, every stretch of mud, and every challenge of the course, proving that the true hero is the one who never gives up.
