Weather Forecast for Tenerife – Wednesday
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that this Wednesday in Tenerife will be marked by cloudiness in the northern part of the island, particularly during the first half of the day. The clouds will be positioned below 1,100 to 1,300 metres, with a likelihood of drizzle in the northeastern midlands during the early hours.
As the day progresses, wide clearings are expected in the north. In the rest of Tenerife, skies will be partly cloudy or clear, although morning intervals may occur in the southwest.
Temperatures will remain relatively steady or experience a slight drop, especially in the southern midlands. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, temperatures are predicted to range between a minimum of 20 degrees and a maximum of 26 degrees.
Trade Winds with Strong Intervals
The trade winds will blow moderately across Tenerife, with strong intervals in the southeast slopes and the northwest tip of the island. In these areas, very strong gusts are not ruled out, especially overnight.
In the west, breezes will prevail, while on the summits, winds will be from the southwest, light to moderate.
Sea Conditions in Tenerife
At sea, Aemet forecasts winds from the northeast at force 5 or 6, occasionally reaching 7 in the southeast and extreme northwest. There will be rough seas, occasionally heavy.
In the more sheltered areas of the southwest, winds will be variable at force 1 to 3, with slight sea swells. A northern swell of 1 to 2 metres is also anticipated.
Stable Weather in the Rest of the Canary Islands
Throughout the Canaries, the day will be characterised by low cloudiness in the northern part of the islands during the first half of the day, clearing in the afternoon. The southern slopes will generally have partly cloudy or clear skies.
Temperatures will show little change or slight declines, and the trade winds will continue to blow moderately, with strong intervals in exposed areas of several islands.
