Strong winds and adverse coastal phenomena will dominate this Saturday in Tenerife. In fact, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) will issue a yellow warning at 17:00 for wind and at 19:00 for coastal phenomena.
Specifically, the forecast indicates maximum gusts of 70 kilometres per hour, with the trade winds expected to primarily affect the southeast slope and high areas of the western slope, including the Las Cañadas del Teide region. Additionally, local gusts may exceed 80 kilometres per hour. The warning will cover the eastern, southern, and western areas of Tenerife.
Regarding the state of the sea, there will be northeast winds of 50 to 61 km/h (force 7) in the channel between Tenerife and Gran Canaria, impacting the eastern, southern, and western areas of the island.
These yellow warnings will also affect the rest of the western islands and Gran Canaria.
Weather Forecast for Tenerife
Aemet’s weather forecast for Tenerife indicates it will be mostly clear or cloudless, except for intervals of cloud cover below 900-1100 metres in the northeast, during the early morning and from sunset onwards.
Minimum temperatures will remain relatively stable, while maximum temperatures will rise in the mid-altitudes, particularly those facing south. Thermometers are expected to register between 21 and 28 degrees.

Strong gusts are also likely in the extreme west, low areas of the southeast, and high regions of the western slope, with very strong gusts expected in the southern metropolitan area and Las Cañadas in the afternoon.
