Following the second and final day held in Tenerife, CAI Gran Canaria has been crowned the champion of the Canarian Club League.
The CAI Gran Canaria has clinched the title in the thirtieth edition of the Canarian Club League, after an exhilarating final day competition in Tenerife. The competition concluded with the Gran Canaria team standing at the top of the podium, surpassing expectations and reaffirming their supremacy in both male and female categories.
The second day, marked by intensity and high competitive level, not only confirmed CAI Gran Canaria’s dominance but also widened their lead in points over the other participating clubs, solidifying their leadership in the tournament.
The exceptional performance of the athletes, both men and women, is the outcome of the constant effort and sacrifice they have demonstrated throughout the competition. This dedication was reflected in every event, ensuring the team’s success and the strengthening of their position against the other seven competing teams.
Furthermore, this day served as preparation for the upcoming competitions in which both male and female teams will participate in the final phase of the Spanish Second Division Club Championship.
The club has expressed deep gratitude to all the athletes who competed in this edition of the Canarian League, as well as those who represented CAI in previous competitions. According to Oliver Armas, the club’s president: “More than 60% of our participants have been trained in our athletics school. This triumph is a tribute to all those who have been involved and have taken on technical roles in recent years. Our philosophy has always been to focus on internal development, and now we are starting to see the fruits of that strategy.”
This title not only celebrates the sporting success of CAI Gran Canaria but also emphasizes their ongoing commitment to the development of local talents, consolidating their role as a cornerstone of Canarian athletics.
