Some thirty boys and girls from the 2nd year of Primary learn about the attractions of science and technology during a visit to the facilities of the Technological and Renewable Energies Institute (ITER).
The activity is part of the actions promoted by the Cabildo de Tenerife on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Girls in ICT, next Thursday 27, to arouse curiosity about the disciplines of science and technology
The conferences were aimed at making children aware of the attractions offered by the branches of science and technology to arouse their curiosity for these study disciplines.
They also collaborated with the Association of Women Developers (AdaLOveDev), the Computational Thinking Classroom of the University of La Laguna (ULL) and Cepsa Foundation.
The Minister of the Presidency, Finance and Modernization, Berta Pérez; the Equality delegate, Priscila de Lion; the insular director of Modernization, Daniel gonzalezand the person in charge of Fundación Cepsa in Canary IslandsBelen Machado.
They accompanied boys and girls from Los Cristianos schools, in Arona; El Paso, in Icod de los Vinos; Saint Mary of the Sea, in Santa Cruz; and La Verdellada, in La Laguna.
