Eight people arrested in Tenerife for having more than 1,400 fake luxury items for sale



Agents of the National Police have arrested eight people in Los Cristianos as alleged perpetrators of two crimes against industrial property, within the framework of actions carried out to prevent and prosecute the sale of counterfeit items from prestigious firms in the southern area of the island of Tenerife.

The agents of the National Police, in connection with other investigations, learned that several people, taking advantage of a market that was taking place in Los Cristianos, had a large number of counterfeit items from luxury firms for sale.

In a police device that was attended by official experts of the affected brands, the national police officers carried out an inspection in the market.

The findings made during it led to the arrest of eight people and the intervention of more than 1,400 articles. Their value, if true, would exceed 700,000 euros on the market.
