The Town Hall of La Laguna will bring the world of circus to nearly a thousand schoolchildren from 24 public educational institutions in the municipality through two special performances scheduled for 17th and 18th June. This initiative, led by the Education Department, will provide children with a unique educational experience tailored specifically for Lagunero students.
Details of the First Performance
The first of these performances took place today, Wednesday, 17th June, with the attendance of the Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Citizen Participation, Fran Hernández, and the Councillor for Education and Youth, Sergio Eiroa. They joined the participating students in this enriching experience. The second performance is set to occur tomorrow.
Statements from Officials
Sergio Eiroa, the Councillor for Education and Youth, emphasised that “education is also built beyond the classroom, and experiences like this allow students to discover new artistic expressions, share experiences, and access quality playful and educational proposals on an equal footing.”
Fran Hernández highlighted that “these initiatives help to create a sense of community and provide our children with enriching experiences that they will remember for a long time, reinforcing the municipal commitment to education as a tool for social cohesion.”
Engaging Young Audiences
In total, both performances will engage around a thousand schoolchildren from 24 public educational institutions, aiming to promote access to the performing arts from an early age, foster values such as coexistence, and offer spaces for interaction and shared enjoyment among students from different schools.
Educational Programming
This activity is part of the educational programming initiated by the Town Hall of La Laguna and reflects the goal of bringing the performing arts closer to students. It provides educational leisure experiences that enrich their learning and support their overall development.
