
Weather Forecast for Tenerife
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts a Wednesday in Tenerife characterised by partly cloudy intervals, with little change in temperatures and gentle northerly winds, although gusts may be stronger in some areas of the island.
Specifically, the prediction indicates that in Tenerife there will be partly to predominantly cloudy skies, with clearer conditions expected in the eastern regions. Temperatures will remain fairly stable compared to previous days.
In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, temperatures are expected to range from a minimum of 20 degrees to a maximum of 27 degrees, according to Aemet’s forecast.
As for the wind, it will blow gently from the north, though it will be stronger on the eastern slopes and in the northwest tip. In the western part of the island, sea breezes will prevail. At the central peaks, the wind will come from the northwest.
General Forecast in the Canary Islands
Across the archipelago, Aemet announces cloudy intervals, with predominantly cloudy skies in the northern mountainous islands and clearer conditions in the southern slopes.
Temperatures will see few changes overall. Winds will blow from the north, with increased intensity on the exposed slopes.
In Lanzarote, cloudy skies with occasional intervals of cloud are expected, along with a low probability of light drizzle in the north during the afternoon. Temperatures will remain stable, and winds will come from the north.
In Fuerteventura, there will be cloudy intervals that will tend to become clearer in the southeast during the afternoon. Temperatures will also remain stable, with winds blowing from the north.
In Gran Canaria, skies will be mostly clear with some cloudy intervals in the north. The wind will blow from the north, with stronger gusts possible in the eastern and northwestern slopes, while breezes will be present in the southwest.
In La Gomera, cloudy intervals are expected, with predominantly cloudy skies in the north. Winds will be from the north, stronger in the eastern and northwestern slopes, and breezes will characterize the south.
In La Palma, the forecast indicates cloudy intervals, with no significant changes in temperatures and gentle northerly winds, which will be stronger in the eastern and northwestern areas.
In El Hierro, cloudy intervals will occur, with prevailing cloudy skies in the north. The wind will blow from the north, stronger in the eastern and northwestern slopes.
Sea Conditions
In the waters surrounding the Canary Islands, the forecast indicates winds from the east, north, and northeast at strengths of 4 or 5, 5 or 6, and locally 2 or 3, depending on the area. There will be slight swells, rough seas or strong rough seas.
On the western and southwestern coasts of the islands, the wind will be variable, ranging from force 1 to 3. Additionally, a northern swell is expected, with waves reaching around one metre.
