How to Play the National Lottery?
To begin, you must choose the draw you wish to participate in (there are always a minimum of 4 draws available for purchase).
Next, you must select a 5-digit number (a decimo) with which to participate in that draw. You can choose the digits of this number yourself or have the system automatically select them randomly for you, by indicating the digits you do not wish to select with asterisks. You must also specify the number of decimos you wish to purchase (between 1 and 10).
If you choose a specific number, keep in mind that this number may not be available for sale as it may have already been sold or may only be sold through one of our Lottery Administrations.
The generated decimos are virtual (we will never send you a physical decimo, as these are exclusively sold in Lottery Administrations) but they participate in the draws under the same conditions as physical decimos and with the same chances of winning prizes. The only difference is that if you have purchased a physical decimo, you must present it to claim any potential prizes, whereas in the online case, you will receive your prizes just like for any other games without the need to present anything.
The price of each decimo depends on the draw it participates in:
- For a Thursday draw, each decimo costs €3.
- For a regular Saturday draw, each decimo costs €6.
- For a special Saturday draw, each decimo costs €12 or €15.
- For an extraordinary draw, each decimo costs €20.
You will win a prize if your number (or any of its digits) is selected in the draw within the prize distribution established beforehand: first prize, second prize, ending digits, closest numbers, refund…).
