The metropolitan area of Tenerife is one of the areas that is suffering the most from the effects of this storm, as indicated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center. There, on the beach of Las Teresitas, a spectacular video was recorded this Monday in which it can be seen how the wind is lifting the sand and has practically made the road disappear under a cloud of dust.
The force of the wind has also dragged palm tree branches and even the characteristic blue hammocks of this beach, which have flown into the car parks. Damage has also been reported in the bars installed on the sand.
The islands will continue with orange and yellow warnings until at least this Tuesday.
