A juvenile was found to be in a moderate state after being rescued with indications of drowning from the pool of a tourist establishment in Arona, situated on the island of Tenerife, as announced by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon and personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) responded to the location following reports that a young girl had slipped into a pool at a tourist facility and displayed signs of drowning.
Upon arrival, SUC personnel confirmed that the child showed signs of drowning, they proceeded with the resuscitation measures started by the witnesses and, after successfully reversing the situation and stabilising her, she was taken to Hospiten Sur.
Local law enforcement officers also attended the site of the occurrence and conducted the necessary procedures.
