A trip from Edinburgh to Tenerife had to be redirected to Portugal due to a disruptive passenger who was caught vaping on the aircraft. Jet2 flight, LS727, had departed from the airport in the Scottish city at 8:15 a.m. and was initially bound for London airport, Tenerife South.
Nevertheless, flightradar24 data revealed that the plane had to make an unscheduled landing at Porto Santo airport in Madeira to facilitate the detainment of the passenger by local authorities.
Onboard footage captured by a passenger depicted a man in dark attire with a shoulder strap, allegedly intoxicated, stumbling through the aisle while being tended to by the cabin crew.
