Nine individuals apprehended in Adeje found with 1,138 replicas of luxury brands

A special operation carried out in the town of Adeje, located in the southern part of Tenerife, resulted in the arrest of nine individuals by the National Police for suspected involvement in crimes against industrial property. During this operation, law enforcement officers confiscated over 1,100 counterfeit products from well-known brands.

The police initiative, which was prompted by complaints lodged with the National Police by representatives of the affected companies, involved collaboration with various official experts appointed by these brands.

Officers responsible for preventing and investigating crimes against industrial property within the police force took action to apprehend the suspects and seize 1,138 counterfeit products from renowned brands, such as watches, sporting goods, clothing, and accessories.

Following the documentation processed by the National Police, the incidents were reported to the competent judicial authorities.

The National Police emphasises that in cases of this nature, the perpetrator not only aims to gain an unfair economic advantage over legitimate businesses, but also jeopardises the quality assurance of products under the brands for consumers.
