SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 16 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Deputy Minister of the Presidency of the Canary Islands Government, Antonio Olivera, has advanced a “satisfactory agreement” in the technical meeting that will be held this Friday by representatives of the Canarian Government and the central government to analyze the transfer of competences on the coasts to the autonomous community by virtue of the new Statute.
In a press conference to give an account of the Governing Council agreements, he admitted that the negotiation process has been “complex and hard” but the regional government has maintained “firm positions” and has tried to “push the margin as much as possible” competence allowed by the Statute.
Thus, if the agreement is closed, he has commented that in January the first mixed transfer commission will be convened since the new Statute was approved and other aspects will be included such as the audiovisual incentives of the REF, which “are already resolved”, financial protection or the antitrust service, which is already taken over.
