The mayor of Santa Cruz of TenerifeJosé Manuel Bermúdez, accompanied by the Councilor for Public Services, Carlos Tarife, and the councilor for the Southwest district, Javier Rivero, visited this morning the entrance into use of the new dog space which is located in the Hermógenes Afonso park, “Hupalupa”, in the populous neighborhood of Anaza of the capital of Tenerife, “where from now on there is a facility with perimeter fencing, with a double entrance door to guarantee the safety of pets, seats for their owners and equipped with signage at the entrance with the rules for the use of the space “, advances the capital councilor.

For his part, Carlos Tarife, Councilor for Public Services, the area from which the Public Spaces maintenance section has been in charge of this action, states that “this space dedicated to pets, in this neighborhood of Añaza, has a surface that is around 450 square meters, with a perimeter fence of 89 linear meters, where 75 cubic meters of gravel have been necessary” and added that “in addition, 60 cubic meters of everything must be added, in an execution in which “They have allocated a total of 28,831 euros, contemplated within the improvements of the public roads maintenance contract.”

Javier Rivero, councilor for the Southwest district, highlighted that “this facility provides this space to a park that we know is frequently used by neighbors and their dogs” and claimed that “so We ask that you use it now and keep in mind that, in addition to the security offered by this properly fenced enclosure, you must continue to observe the rules of citizen collaboration in the collection of animal excrement, the responsibility of which, logically, is its owners.”
