Once again, Fañabé Beach in Costa Adeje has been awarded the blue flag, reclaiming its status as one of the municipality’s three certified distinctions. This achievement positions Costa Adeje alongside Arona as the Tenerife town with the highest number of such accolades.
The local council views this as a significant milestone, as Adeje aims to reclaim as many blue flags as possible in the forthcoming years, thanks to the collaborative efforts of private concessionaires who oversee certain beach areas and the council itself.
El Duque and Torviscas are the other two beaches that have been bestowed with this prestigious international recognition. Patricia Paulsen, the Councillor for Tourism Destinations and Sustainability, stated that having three blue flag beaches is a remarkable success, and the goal is to continually expand the list of beaches and bathing areas receiving this honour in the future. The Councillor sees this accolade as a tribute to the excellent work carried out by the concessionaire firms.
