San Miguel de Abona joins the project to revitalize youth spaces New Employment Opportunities (NOE), of the Cabildo de Tenerife. It does so through the Department of Youth, directed by Yurena Melián,

It is a project that, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Canary Islands Employment Service, will last 12 months and will make two youth facilitators available to the public, who will carry out projects and recreational and training activities with youth sanmiguelera. Among the main objectives of NOE are raising awareness about healthy leisure, mental health, drug prevention and education in values.

Yurena Melián explains that San Miguel joins “an initiative that improves the employability of the participants, providing them with a work experience where they will perform functions related to their degree.”

This project will be launched in the youth space of Llano del Camello. In addition, once a week, the same staff will be on the street visiting youth meeting places such as sports centers, squares and other meeting points.
