A 47-year-old woman was transferred this Sunday in serious condition to the Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria Hospital after suffering a fall in the coastal area of Jóver, in La Laguna (Tenerife).
As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of the Government of the Canary Islands (CECOES) 1-1-2, around 2:30 p.m. a call was received alerting that a woman needed medical assistance after having suffered a fall in a rock area.
Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted the affected woman in the place where she was. She had a serious back injury. Together with firefighters, SUC personnel immobilized her and evacuated her on a stretcher to the ambulance.
The medical crew of the SUC medical helicopter, which landed in the area, assessed and stabilized the injured woman, who was taken by aircraft to the hospital.
Meanwhile, members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium collaborated with health personnel and ensured the landing and takeoff maneuvers of the helicopter on the coast.
The Local Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources and made the appropriate reports.
