SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo of La Palma, through the Ministry of Tourism, has announced the increase in the frequency of connections with Amsterdam to two weekly flights by summer 2024 through the company Transavia.
The Minister of Tourism, Raquel Rebollo, described it as “very good news to be able to say that the Dutch airline, which already offers direct flights from Amsterdam to La Palma, will fly twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, next summer.”
“The Dutch market is of great importance for us, because La Palma offers them everything they usually look for, such as nature, tranquility and hiking. That is why the Tourism Service actively participates in fairs in that country specialized in this topic” , detailed the counselor.
Along the same lines, Rebollo wanted to thank the work of the Service and its staff, since, thanks to the different meetings held with representatives of the airline and the good disposition shown towards the destination, it has been possible to increase this connection that favors international relations with La Palma.
Likewise, the counselor stressed that this route represents “another great step for this Government group in the effort to improve the connectivity of the Island and ensure, for the summer season, a high tourist occupancy,” she added.
