SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, September 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
This Monday, Maritime Rescue rescued 87 migrants of sub-Saharan origin who were sailing aboard a cayuco about 16 miles south of Punta de Rasca, in Tenerife, sources from 112 Canarias reported.
The notification was made around 8:00 a.m. and the migrants were taken to the port of Los Cristianos, specifically 86 men and one woman.
There, after the usual health care provision of the Canary Islands Emergency Service and the Red Cross, four people were referred to health centers, three with mild health problems and another with mild dehydration.
With this rescue, a total of 1,367 migrants aboard 21 boats have arrived to various islands of the archipelago since last weekend.
