SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 7. (EUROPA PRESS) –
A total of 1,491 passengers have used the two new Titsa university shuttles in the first two months since they came into operation. In the case of line 606 there were 843 people, while on line 608 passengers amounted to 648, since last October when the service was activated.
The Minister of Mobility, Eulalia García, expressed her satisfaction with the passenger data recorded in the first months of activity of the two university shuttles and recalled that it is a measure that is included in the actions of the Cabildo de Tenerife that were reflected in the agreement to improve mobility with the University of La Laguna recently signed.
In this sense, García stressed that the main objective of the shuttles is to decongest passengers on the lines coming from the North of the island during peak hours and improve the mobility of university students.
The ULL 606 shuttle line connects the Icod de los Vinos Station with the Guajara Campus Lecture Hall, with stops in Buen Paso, La Uvi, Santa Catalina, El Cubo, Los Realejos Link, La Orotava Link, Coromoto, Faculty of Economics and Classroom. This route departs from Icod Station at 6:30 a.m. and returns from the university campus at 2:45 p.m.
In addition, Titsa has launched the ULL 608 Shuttle, from Los Realejos to the Aulario de Guajara with stops at Avenida de Canarias, Los Barros, Enlace Los Realejos, Enlace Orotava, Coromoto, Faculty of Economics and Aulario. The departure from the Mencey Bencomo square in Los Realejos is at 6:50 a.m. and returns from Guajara at 2:45 p.m. Both shuttles share a stop at the Los Realejos Link, which increases the mobility options for users in the northern part of the island.
