A 20-year-old man was arrested for attacking his uncle with an ax in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Agents of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have arrested this Friday a 20-year-old young man, identified as AGS, as the alleged author of an attack with an ax on his uncle, with whom he shares a house in the Villa area. Ascension.

The 57-year-old victim of the events suffered a head injury as a result of the attack and had to be evacuated by ambulance to the University Hospital of Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria, the Local Police reported.

The local police officers, who were alerted to a possible conflict between cohabitants, upon arrival at the scene, met with both parties and requested the support of a health resource when they found the older man with a bleeding head wound.

Apparently the injured man and the detainee have been living together in the house for a little over six months due to problems related to a discrepancy over an inheritance.

The arrested man pointed out that his uncle had arrived at dawn and entered the house by jumping over a fence, and a struggle broke out between the two.

For his part, the injured man stated that, although he had not gone home for a few days, last night his nephew denied him access and had put a padlock that prevented him from entering the house.

A third person who lives in the place could not provide data on this alleged aggression, stating that he did not observe the events.

The Local Police found the ax and proceeded to arrest and transfer the detainee, first to a health center and later to judicial disposal.
