a new vision
Raquel García, Councilor for Economic Promotion and Employment, points out that “this initiative is intended to promote the practical training of interns in the work environment, integrating them into the human teams of the selected companies, in addition to enriching academic training”. García states that “we seek to consolidate the commitment of the Arona companies in the practical training programs for students and graduates, in addition to showing these companies the range of competencies of public training centers, as well as the abilities of students to improve and provide a new vision within the company».
The link between the Arona City Council and the ULL is multiple. In business matters, it should be remembered that companies and entrepreneurs in the municipality benefit from a specialized advisory program thanks to an agreement between the Consistory and the General Foundation of the University of La Laguna. The service, intensified in the online format due to the pandemic, is provided through the Emprende.ull technical team. Emprende Arona has in the Business Center of Las Galletas the epicenter of the workshops, advice and support for entrepreneurs who were trying to improve their business positioning or create a new company.
