At 1,975,337 euros the cost of the sanitation and rainwater network of Geranio street, in The Giants. Municipal Cooperation and Housing of the Cabildo will contribute 1,577,295 euros (80%) and the City Council of Santiago del Teide, the remaining 398,042 euros (20%). The term of execution of the works is 22 months.

The counselor details that this project “is an example of the comprehensive interventions that we are promoting in the municipalities.” Among the works planned for Geranio de Los Gigantes street is the installation of a sewage collector along the road, which will connect to a well on José González Forte street. In addition, a rainwater network will be installed. The improvement of the supply network is also contemplated, to which the household connections will be connected, with the replacement of the existing pipes being planned, as well as the placement of luminaires and resurfacing works.
Zebenzuí Chinea defends that the project will be enriched with the replacement of horizontal signage and with the installation of tactile paving and directional indicators in the pedestrian crossing areas, thus complying with current accessibility standards, the island councilor adds.
