SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 72-year-old man has died after being taken out of the water in a cardiorespiratory arrest in Playa de Santiago, in the municipality of Alejeró, in La Gomera, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The event occurred around 12.50 pm, when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert in which it was reported that some bathers had pulled a person who was in cardiorespiratory arrest out of the water.
Upon arriving at the scene, the SUC staff, together with the doctor and nurse from the Health Center in the area, confirmed that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest and confirmed his death.
The Civil Guard instructed the corresponding proceedings.
