The airline Binter stops operating also at the airport of Tenerife south by the ash emitted by the La Palma volcano, which “has worsened considerably”, as explained by the company this Friday through a statement.

With this, Binter no longer operates the La Palma, La Gomera and Tenerife South airport, although it does maintain operations at the Tenerife North airport, except for night flights.

“The airline has been forced to make this decision due to force majeure, since in the last hours the situation of suspended ash has worsened considerably “, they have defended.

The company has explained that “the stoppage of operations will continue until conditions improve and allow to fly guaranteeing safety “.

Secondly, the company is responding to requests for changes through the usual channels or reimbursements that may be received from affected passengers on these flights.

The airline has reported that “is following the evolution of the situation at all times in contact with the aeronautical authorities, waiting to have confirmation that all the safety conditions are met to resume normal operations “.
