A century and a year after its inauguration, everything is ready for you In a matter of days, the improvement and rehabilitation works of the Cine Realejos Theater begin, a fundamental cultural infrastructure for the northern municipality. The deadline for completion of the works is 18 months, so if there are no delays, it would be available from April or May 2023.

While the works are being carried out at the Cine Theater, the Royal City Council will move its cultural offer to the small assembly hall of the House of Culture, the House of Parra and even on the ground floor of the so-called Casa del Emprendedor, which has been used in recent months as a mass vaccination center and, according to González, “in the future it could host some cultural events that require more space.”
The intervention project in the building will focus on two fundamental aspects: the expansion of the existing capacity to accommodate more public (up to a total of 314 seats) and the resolution of the functional problems that currently exist and that “prevent the activity of the own venue is made and received properly, both for the viewer and for those who act, “according to the local government. An expansion of the existing space is proposed by incorporating the surface that currently occupies the annex building on the west side and a redistribution of interior spaces, “expanding those that are considered insufficient and proposing new necessary spaces.”
